Barton Manor Hotel and Spa is situated in the idyllic village of Barton in Lancashire. It offers the perfect blend of quintessential charm, comfort, and elegance.
As a distinguished four-star hotel, Barton Manor consists of over fifty beautifully designed bedrooms, a luxurious pool and spa area, a state-of-the-art gym, an award-winning restaurant, and a series of sophisticated corporate function spaces.
During a significant refurbishment of its corporate and event spaces, the hotel identified the need to replace its ageing audio visual equipment with a series of easy to use, up-to-date technologies. To ensure this was carried out to the highest standard, the hotel sought the expertise of a reputable audio visual partner.
After a series of discussions, site visits, and planning sessions, Barton Manor quickly realised that Pure AV was the integrator with the skill and resource to deliver a cost effective solution which aligned completely with the hotel's vision.
In the initial stages of the project, Pure AV worked closely with the hotel to fully understand expectations, budgets, refurbishment timescales, room usage scenarios, and desired outcomes from a new audio visual system.
During such conversations, our team quickly realised that a projection-based system would be the right solution for the hotel. This not only helped stay firmly within budget, but would also feel consistent with the previous system in place.
After presenting our proposal and system designs to the hotel, Barton Manor was impressed with our approach and happy for us to progress directly with their third-party contractor.
To ensure all deadlines corresponded with those of the contractor, Pure AV appointed a dedicated project manager to oversee the implementation of the new solution. The project manager was responsible for coordinating the entire AV system and ensuring cabling was fully concealed in ceilings and behind walls, resulting in a quality installation.
Barton Manor's corporate and function space consists of a large divisible space which can be used as either a single, open-plan area, or split into a maximum of three separate rooms.
Regardless of which room layout is chosen, the hotel needed the technology in each space to provide a consistent look and feel, and also be as user-friendly as possible.
A series of Epson 5000 lumens laser projection systems were installed to ensure clear, large scale imagery in each space. Additionally, Sapphire electric projection screens have been added to allow for quick and easy deployment by a single press of a button.
For improved connectivity, wall-based input plates were strategically placed to enable a direct connection between personal devices and the projection system, making presentations intuitively simple.
Across the space, a series of flush mounted Biamp Desono loudspeakers have been strategically placed into the ceiling to ensure optimal and uniform audio coverage, regardless of which room layout is chosen. Each speaker has been provided in white to blend in with the ceiling.
Taking control of each zone is achieved via the pre-configured, 6 button panel carefully placed on the wall. Clearly labelled, any user can simply press a button to suit the desired room configuration, and the system adapts accordingly.
A series of AtlasIED Atmosphere 3.5mm inputs can also be found across the space. Presenters simply connect a microphone into the nearest input, and the control processor, located in an audio visual rack, dynamically assigns the appropriate audio settings for the space.
To finish off the space, a number of AtlasIED Atmosphere Bluetooth inputs have also been added to provide a mechanism for quick and easy Bluetooth connectivity and control in each space.
To allow for an improved experience, a series of changes and additions were made to the existing audio visual rack.
To ensure the works were completed to the highest standard, all alterations were made from our dedicated rack build facility in Preston, allowing our team to fully test the system before deployment.
Within the rack, to ensure improved connectivity, all analogue control has been removed, and replaced with a series of digital control systems including a new Netgear POE switch, and NetLinx integrated controller.
With a series of improvements to the previous system, the client now has access to an audio visual system which is intuitively simple, can be operated by users of differing skillsets, and will be the driving force of Barton Manor's conferencing facilities for many years to come.
