Blossom Street is an impressive 143-unit residential development next to Manchester’s Northern Quarter built by property developer Mulbury. The two buildings – one eight storeys and one seven storeys offer residents extensive communal facilities, including a co-working area, cinema room and panoramic roof terrace, incorporating a private dining room.
Pure AV worked with main contractor Mulbury and property management specialists Urban Bubble to design and build the audio visual solution off-plan.
The building promotes city living’s social side, offering communal spaces within the development for like-minded residents to get together and socialise.
Audio visual facilities, including large-screen displays and high quality, zoned audio systems are in place throughout the building to create a welcoming, relaxing environment for residents and their guests.
Residents can view TV programmes on large format 65” displays distributed around the reception, rooftop and communal areas. While zoned audio with independent control offers the flexibility to choose between streaming subscription music, digital radio or TV sound.
The concierge has complete control of the audio system via a mobile tablet with wall-mounted touch screens also available to manage local audio selection. The installed speakers are powerful and discreet, including a rock-shaped architectural landscape speaker in the outdoor rooftop area. The hardware, chosen to offer quality while blending with the space’s aesthetic.
The cinema and gaming room uses an Epson laser projector with Q-Acoustics ceiling speakers and a freestanding subwoofer. The 7.1 immersive surround sound and excellent image quality creating an immersive entertainment space to be enjoyed by residents, whether playing on the Xbox or watching a film.
This is the third project delivered in partnership with Mulbury. Early engagement with Mulbury and the property management company ensured there was a clear brief, and that Pure AV created a solution in keeping with the aims of the development. It is a system that is easy to manage and maintain and encourages full usage of the communal facilities.
